Family Connection: Winter Edition
Kelly from the Mindful Explorers
Hi, I’m Kelly from The Mindful Explorers. I support children and families to bring mindfulness, creativity and emotional wellbeing into everyday life in simple, joyful ways. For this collaboration, I’m sharing a bauble affirmation decoration idea. It is a simple way to nurture confidence, emotional wellbeing, and self belief at a time of year that can feel exciting but overwhelming.
Ideal for families and classrooms, the pack includes printable baubles, a list of child friendly affirmations and easy step by step guidance. It is a lovely mindful activity that brings creativity, connection and a boost of positivity to winter days.

Naomi from Naomi Daglish VA
I'm Naomi! An ex-high school teacher turned Virtual Assistant and mummy to a 3 year old daughter. Last year I wanted a thoughtful, easy and cost effective christmas gift for my daughter's nursery staff. I saw these and thought they were perfect! They were super cute and great fun to make! They would make great stocking fillers or gifts for children or adults (after all who doesn’t like sweets and chocolate?!)

Leigh from Roo’s Play Corner
Leigh is a Mum of two with over 12 years’ SEN experience. I share sensory play setups and our little adventures on my Facebook page, Roo’s Play Corner – Tuff Tray & Messy Play Ideas. Sensory play is my passion, and Roo is a curious little boy who loves to explore. We cover lots of themes and I share activities that make learning engaging and hands-on.
This low-cost sensory invitation is inspired by the story ‘Marshmallow and Bon Bon Meet Santa’ by Storytime With Sarah’s Little Bookshelf. Children rescue frozen Arctic animal figures, building fine-motor skills, coordination, and problem-solving while learning about real Arctic animals and enjoying the snowy adventure as they listen to the story.

Storytime with Sarah's Little Bookshelf
After working with children for over 20 years, I decided to create Storytime with Sarah’s Little Bookshelf to promote children’s stories, child development and book reviews.
Along the way I developed a passion for writing poetry and I am now an Author and Illustrator of my own podcast that showcases my stories and poems called Storytime with Sarah’s Little Bookshelf Podcast.
My resource is a Christmas audio story, all about a polar bear cub and an arctic fox seeing Santa on Christmas Eve. This is a joint collaboration with Leigh from Roo's Play Corner, Tuff tray and Messy Play Ideas. I have written and recorded the story and Leigh has created a follow-on sensory tuff tray idea. For Leigh's activity listen to the description after the story and download her free poster on her resource link.
